Mohammed Hasem was born in Chittagong, Bangladesh. He moved to the United States in 1996 to continue his education path. He completed his Associate Degree in Computer Science from CUNY, located in Queens, NY. Later, he completed his Bachelors of Science in Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a Concentration in Accounting from USA. Mohammed Hasem continued to gain credentials as an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA), IRS Certified Acceptance Agent, and Notary Public State of New York. He is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), National Association of Enrolled Agent (NAEA) and National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP).

Mohammed Hasem started his own accounting firm, Karnafully Tax Services Inc, in January 9, 2007 where he leads as the President and CEO. His firm specializes in Taxation and Accounting services, among other professional activities. Mr Hasem is also successfully running his educational institution, Karnafully Tax School, where he lectures and trains students to pursue their own career as tax preparers and informed tax practitioners. In his effort to train and guide people about taxation, Mr Hasem aims to educate the community about accurate tax preparation process and knowledge.

Along with his incredible professional background, Mohammed Hasem is also involved and committed to the growth of the Bengali community. He constantly makes donations and engages in many community based activities that aims to aide and assist people and institutions. Mr Hasem continues his good work by extending his efforts to help people in Bangladesh. He recently established Hasem Foundation, a non profit organization that provides books, tuition support and scholarship opportunities for children from low income families. He also funded the construction for Sikalbaha Professor Mohiuddin Chowdhury Girls High School, located in Chittagong, Bangladesh, in his effort to enrich the community and encourage educational progress for young children. Furthermore, he also fully funded the construction and maintenance of Mohammadia Jame Masjid in 2006, to provide a safe space for religious observance and community activities. Mr. Hasem is committed to the welfare of his community and will continue to do so with his effort and dedication both in the United States and in Bangladesh.

The purpose of Hasem Foundation is to organize a charitable contribution fund for educational purpose. Children from low income families oftentimes cannot afford the necessary books and resources that are essential for their educational enrichment. Their families amy also lack the proper funds to maintain their tuition expenses, Our goal is to reach out to those families and assist them with necessary resources to ensure their children’s education. We plan to do so by providing books to schools, paper, other school supplies, and opportunity to apply for scholarship based on need and merit.

Our foundation has already rolled out in action and we have began to distribute our funds to local elementary and secondary schools. We do so in the method of providing books and school supplies and have ensured that they are reaching the children who can benefit from our contribution. We also plan to implement a scholarship process to provide a helping hand for families.

Our goal is to reach as many families as possible because we value education and the hope for a better future. However, to continue to do so, we need the enough funds ourselves so we can allocate them to the right places.
